Full Stack Engineer – AI Innovation

About The Position

We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help evolve Stampli’s AI-first AP Automation platform.

You’ll be a key player in building a unified system that gives companies full control and visibility over spending, from invoices to AP credit cards to payments.

This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing startup where AI is not just a feature but a foundation.

You’ll architect and deliver scalable, intuitive web experiences that drive efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across the finance workflow.

What You Will Do

End-to-End Development: Build and enhance our platform using Java and React, delivering seamless, performant user experiences across web applications.
AI-Enhanced Feature Delivery: Work closely with AI and product teams to integrate smart automations, faster approval workflows, and contextual user assistance throughout the application- MUST
Performance Optimization: Ensure responsiveness and scalability of the application, handling large data sets and user volumes efficiently.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with designers, PMs, and fellow engineers to transform business needs into elegant technical solutions.
Clean Code & Best Practices: Write robust, maintainable, and testable code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering excellence.
Continuous Improvement: Keep up with new trends and technologies—especially in AI/ML—and look for opportunities to evolve our systems and architecture.

What You Will Bring

Hands-on, proven experience using AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or similar on a daily basis, including code generation, testing, documentation and code review
6+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer
Strong development background with Java and React
Proven ability to design and build scalable applications
Experience in Agile environments and comfort with fast-paced iteration
Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mentality

Bonus:

Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure
Knowledge of NoSQL databases
Experience contributing to AI-driven products or features
