Stampli Punchouts with Amazon

Today we are announcing the availability of punchout integration with Amazon Business for Stampli Procurement. Amazon Business is where many teams already shop for the supplies, equipment, and everyday business purchases they need. Now that buying journey can connect directly to the purchase request in Stampli.

Requesters can start in Stampli, punch out to Amazon Business, shop on Amazon Business, and bring cart details back automatically. That means less retyping, fewer missing details, and a cleaner purchasing record from the start.

Punchouts Fit the Way You Already Buy

Stampli Procurement governs the purchase lifecycle from request through approval, PO creation, invoice matching, payment, and audit. Requests start in a controlled process, move through the right reviewers, and create a record finance can trust.

Amazon Business Punchout connects that governed workflow to the place where employees already shop. Instead of separating the shopping experience from the procurement process, Stampli brings them together so teams can move faster while finance keeps visibility and control.

How Amazon Business Punchout Works

  1. Start in Stampli. The requester opens a purchase request inside Stampli Procurement, where approval workflows, budgets, and controls already apply.
  2. Shop Amazon Business. The requester punches out to Amazon Business and shops the punchout catalog with current item details, pricing, and availability.
  3. Bring the cart back automatically. Cart details return to the Stampli purchase request, so the requester does not have to manually recreate the purchase.

When the cart comes back, it can include the item descriptions, SKUs, quantities, rates, estimated amounts, tax, shipping, and related purchase context that approvers and finance teams need to review the request. From there, the purchase continues through Stampli’s normal approval, PO, invoice matching, payment, and audit workflow.

Amazon Business Punchout is available for Stampli Procurement customers. If your team buys through Amazon Business, reach out to your account manager to learn more about enabling it for your account.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a procurement punchout?

A procurement punchout connects a procurement workflow to a supplier shopping experience. A requester starts in the procurement system, shops the supplier site, and returns cart details to the purchase request. The purchase then continues through approvals, PO creation, invoice matching, payment, and audit.

How does Amazon Business Punchout work in Stampli Procurement?

For enabled Stampli Procurement customers that use Amazon Business, requesters start a purchase request in Stampli, punch out to Amazon Business to shop, and bring cart details back into Stampli automatically. From there, the purchase continues through the normal approval and finance workflow.

What details does Amazon Business Punchout bring back into Stampli?

The returned cart can include item descriptions, SKUs, quantities, rates, estimated amounts, tax, shipping, and related request context. That gives approvers, finance, and AP a stronger purchase record for review, PO creation, and invoice matching.

Does punchout replace approvals in Stampli?

No. Punchout does not replace approval controls. In Stampli Procurement, punchout connects supplier shopping to the governed request workflow, so Amazon Business cart details move through the same approvals, POs, invoice matching, payment, and audit process with better context.

Is Amazon Business Punchout available to all Stampli customers?

Amazon Business Punchout is available for Stampli Procurement customers. If your team uses Stampli Procurement and buys through Amazon Business, contact your account manager to learn more about enabling it for your account.
